Btnet is a complete system to create the building digital infrastructure. All the offer components have therefore been designed as consistent components to optimise the network performance, from the technical room to the workstation.

The system components are:

• Connectors: two types of solutions are available, Toolless IDC and 110 IDC. Thanks to the new Toolless IDC connector a perfect connection can be obtained without tools in a few seconds guaranteeing excellent performance of the link. It is available in all categories (5E, 6 and 6A) for installation on both patch panels and workstations. The 110 IDC connector is the solution for cutting insulating material using tools. It is available only for 5 E and 6 categories.
• Copper transmission medium: Data transmission cables are made up of four pairs arranged inside a sheath according to a specific layout, which is necessary to reduce attenuation and crosstalk problems. This layout consists of twisting the pairs of conductors individually. These pairs are identified using standard colours.  Types available on the catalogue are: Cat.5 E U/Utp (unshielded, impedance 100 Ω, 100 Mhz), Cat.6 F/Utp  (external shielding, impedance 100 Ω, 250 Mhz), Cat.6 U/Utp (unshielded, impedance 100 Ω, 250 Mhz) and Cat.6 A F/Utp (external shielding, impedance 100 Ω, 500 Mhz);
• Patch panels: make wiring tidier and reconfigurable. Two solutions of panel, Toolless IDC and 110 IDC, are available in the catalogue. The panels have been designed to optimise installability and maintenance: each connector is hooked individually to the front installation. Cable management is made easier by cable feedthrough. The panels are available in their complete versions in Cat. 5 E, Cat.6, Cat.6 A and modular versions with units of six RJ45 connectors. Thanks to the new Quick-Fix system, the installation times are reduced, as no screws are required.
• Patch Cords must guarantee the electrical and mechanical compatibility between the male and female connectors. They are available in different lengths, in 5 E, 6 and 6° categories..
•  Fibre optic means of transmission: the fibre optic is a means of transmission which offers a wider bandwidth than copper cables. Fibre optic cables have various advantages compared to copper cables: total resistance against electromagnetic interferences, high transmission capacity, low attenuation and very small diameter (10 times smaller than copper cables). The cable solutions available in the catalogue are: multimodal cables 50/125μm from 6 to 12 fibres, available in 2000m coils and monomodal cables 9/125μm 6 fibres, available in 2000m coils.
• Fibre optic feedthrough sockets to make fibre optic connections directly at the workstation (Fibre To The Desk), there are ST and SC duplex fibre optic feedthrough sockets and LC fibre optic connectors for workstations in all wiring accessory ranges.
• The fibre optic drawers are the equivalent of the patch panels for copper cables. Its function is to house all the connectors connected to the fibre optic cable, thus enabling connection to the active devices on the network. The Btnet range includes: an optical patch panel to contain 4 blocks of optical couplers with ST, SC or LC optical couplers, for a total of 24 fibres and an optical patch panel for 6 fibres for installation on panels item C9024CTAQ.
• Patch Cords are used for the connection between patch panels, for cross connections between active device and patch panel and cross connections at workstations with terminals which have fibre optic inputs BTicino offers fibre optic patch cord solutions, both multimode OM2 and OM3 50/125 μmm and singlemode OS1 9/125 μmm, with combinations of SC, ST and LC connectors. Pigtail patch cords are available in our catalogue.
• Floor cabinets are designed to guarantee simple management of cables and patch cords: dedicated unit for the cords, cable input in the upper and lower cabinets, new management panels for perfect organisation and routing of the patch cords.
• Wall distribution boards are available in 2 versions: fixed or swivelling, allowing free access to the back of the cabinet for easier installation and maintenance.

  • Varicon Power  PDU is a unit which supplies electrical current for IT devices. Available in 2 versions: 19”, vertical for assembly on the rear part of the server cabinets.
