FULL TOUCH CONTROL
The light can be switched on or off by pressing any point of the surface of the keys.
After being pressed, the keys return to their original position, perfectly aligned. Available only in the Living Now range.
AXIAL CONTROL
Once pressed, the control returns to its position and remains aligned at all times. It combines perfectly with AIR cover plates (Axolute and Livinglight), the thinnest in the range.
It is available in the Axolute and Livinglight ranges.
ROCKER CONTROL
This is the traditional control version.
Available in all the ranges.

What is a smart light switch?
A smart light switch is an advanced device that replaces a traditional switch to provide enhanced control over your home lighting. Unlike standard switches, smart models like those in the Living Now with Netatmo range allow you to manage lights via smartphone apps, voice assistants (Siri, Google Assistant, Alexa), or automated schedules—all while maintaining the physical aesthetic of premium Italian design.
How do smart light switches work?
Smart light switches work by integrating a wireless communication module (usually Zigbee or Wi-Fi) into the device. In the BTicino Living Now or Classia smart systems, the switch connects to a Gateway. When you press the button, use the Home+Control app, or give a voice command, the signal is sent through the Gateway to toggle the power or dim the lights.
How to wire a light switch (Standard & Smart)
Wiring a BTicino switch varies slightly depending on whether it is a traditional or "connected" model.
- Traditional: Usually involves connecting the "Phase" wire and the "Lamps" wire to the terminals.
- Smart: Most Living Now smart switches require a Neutral wire to power the internal electronics.
Warning: Electrical work can be dangerous. Always turn off the power at the main circuit breaker before starting. If you are not a certified professional, consult an electrician.
How to change or replace a light switch
Replacing an old switch with a BTicino Livinglight or Axolute model is a great way to refresh your interior.
- Disconnect Power: Ensure the circuit is dead.
- Remove Plate: Pop off the existing cover plate and unscrew the support frame.
- Disconnect Wires: Note where each wire goes.
- Install New Support: Screw the BTicino support frame into the box.
- Connect & Clip: Connect the wires to the new mechanism and clip it into the frame.
- Finish: Snap on the decorative cover plate.
How to change a light switch to a dimmer
Upgrading to a dimmer (available in Classia, Livinglight, and Living Now) allows you to adjust brightness levels for better ambiance.
- Ensure your light bulbs are dimmable (LEDs specifically).
- Follow the wiring diagram specific to the BTicino line you chose; some dimmers use a two-wire system, while others might require a neutral for better stability with LED loads.
How do I install a dimmer light switch?
Installation follows the same steps as a standard switch replacement, but you must ensure the mechanism fits the modular support frame of your specific BTicino line. For instance, an Axolute dimmer requires an Axolute support frame and cover plate. Once wired, many BTicino dimmers allow you to set the minimum and maximum brightness levels directly from the device or the app (if it's a smart version).
