A complete range of devices: from the simple wall lamp providing lighting in assistance area, to bedhead strips for healthcare establishments (lights, electric controls), and medical GAS distribution channels.
The Compact range is made up of:
The Compact range of bedhead strips is available in two different luminous types:
Only the Compact bedhead strips can be installed on the new XL gas trunking, becoming a IIB Class electro-medical device.
Bedhead strips and gas trunking are made of anodized or white painted aluminium. On request, you can order the bedhead strip in a white painted aluminium version with anti-bacterial treatment or painted with special colours from our sales force. The bedhead strips are equipped with luminous devices which can guarantee the following lighting levels dictated by the standard:
Only for the fluorescent version, the T5 electronic lamps must be purchased separately.
The new Compact bedhead strip fits in and can be perfectly installed above the new XL gas channel, becoming an extremely compact and small class IIB electro-medical bedhead strip.
The paints and the plastics used for the production of the bedhead strip are antibacterial thanks to the addition of an additive during the manufacturing stage. The antimicrobial effect is due to the silver ion (Ag +) based surface finish. This technology ensures the non proliferation of bacteria without creating immunization or resistance effects (physical rather than chemical destruction). It is particularly effective on staphylococcus aureus cells, which are methicillin resistant. The effect of the BTicino antimicrobial products has been verified by a Cofac authorised lab: at least 99.99% of the bacteria tested were eliminated. It is nevertheless recommended that the devices are kept clean, to ensure perfect hygiene.
The BTicino Compact bedhead strip in both versions, with LED or fluorescent light sources, has three types of lighting and guarantees lighting adapted to each specific situation: room light; visit light; reading light; on request night light in yellow or blue tone (version with LED sources). The functions are On/Off. Lighting level memory
LED lamps offer lower energy consumption (-42% when compared with FLUO lamps) and less maintenance thanks to the average duration of 50,000 hours. The T5 electronic fluorescent lamps guarantee high performance and energy saving (the T5 lamps are to be purchased separately). The BTicino bedhead strip lighting devices comply with the EN-12464 European standard.
The bedhead strips and gas channels are available in many pre-assembled configurations.
The bedhead strip and the gas channel are designed and manufactured using a modular approach, to enable easy configuration of many versions, thanks to the wide selection of function modules (electrical) and the many finishing possibilities. If the products in the catalogue do not satisfy your needs, customised products can be ordered through our sales force. Typical example is the Compact bedhead strip integrated with "XL" gas trunking.
The new Compact bedhead strip has won the prestigious award Red Dot Product Design 2014.
BTicino has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Product Design 2014 award in the "Life Science and Medicine" category for its "Compact Bedhead Strip" design. The recognition, from an international jury of 40 professionals called to assess in excess of 4,800 projects from 53 countries all over the world, is aimed at promoting the “search for excellence” in all the aspects of design, bringing together innovation, design, and quality

Compact bedhead strips:
Some indications on how to install the Compact bedhead strip are given below.
In order to optimize the features of the Compact bedhead strip, the exit of the cables from the wall must be consistent with the structure of the bedhead strip. Therefore, the location of exit of the cables from the wall and the wiring input location on the bedhead strip must match.
The bedhead strip can be installed on both brick and plasterboard walls.
